Passed Advanced HSK (汉语水平考试) Chinese AP: 5 Can read and write Traditioinal and Simplified Characters Advanced Chinese Teacher's Assisstant at Bishop's School (1 yr.) 2 years of translating and interpreting experience. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have been studying Chinese since I was in high school, and am now certifiably fluent. I recently passed the Advanced HSK (a Chinese proficieny test devised by the Chinese government) placing me at a language proficieny of C2 (fluent) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. I used to be a teacher's assistant for a Chinese class at my previous high shcool, (The Bishop's School, La Jolla CA) and spent my junior year of high school studying abroad at a Chinese high school in Beijing (北京师范大学第二附属中学）through a program called School Year Abroad. I have taken the AP Chinese test before and scored a 5. I am currently a freshman at UC Berkeley and am enrolled in a 5th year Chinese reading class.

Mon/Wed/Fri after 2PM, Tues/Thurs after 6PM, Weekends at any time

Up to 25 minutes away at my regular hourly rate
Hobbies
I have a passion for studying languages, and in addition to Mandarin Chinese have spent time learning Cantonese, Japanese, and Hokkien dialect Chinese. I also enjoying playing piano in my free time.
