Experience
Teaching has been a cornerstone of my college and graduate careers. In undergrad, I was selected to be a general chemistry TA, where I helped students understand fundamental chemistry concepts. I continued this as a tutor for honors general and organic chemistry, guiding college freshmen through difficult science coursework. In addition, I tutored high school students from 9th to 12th grade in math, science, and writing. At Berkeley, I've had appointments teaching Chem 3A (organic) and 4B (general chemistry). Since my background is in physical chemistry and my research is in quantitative biology, I have a wide range of experience that allows me to help with nearly any subject matter. I have very competitive standardized test scores (34 ACT, 1560 SAT) which allow me to help with standardized test prep.

Hobbies
In my free time I enjoy playing music - I've played the cello for nearly 20 years, and have picked up other instruments along the way. I love anything that goes fast, especially motorcycles - working on them is a new found passion of mine. I'm involved with several sports in my free time, including tennis, skiing, ultimate frisbee, and softball. In the summer you'll find me riding to the beach, or grilling on my deck.
