I have worked as a tutor for over 6 years. Primarily I have done this privately, but I have also been employed by the Physics and Engineering departments at Cabrillo College where I helped other students learn with my roles as tutor and teaching assistant. My particular areas of expertise are Mathematics and Physics, but I have also successfully tutored many other subjects including Engineering, Chemistry, Astronomy, and other STEM fields. I employ a very flexible approach to my tutoring; for some students I will design problems to help them further grasp the material, while for others I will lead a more formal lesson. My students, who have ranged in age and ability from middle school through graduate school, consistently show improvement in their courses and often develop an increased confidence in their ability to learn.
