I graduated from Washington University in St Louis with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering and Architecture.

Experience

I have worked and instructed college and high school students in the past, with a focus on students with ADHD and Asperger's. I have a higher emphasis on getting to know what kind of learning styles and goals my students have, so I know how I can best guide them through the learning process. Sometimes when people are challenged by a particular type of problem or concept, all it takes is are simple and clear new ways to reframe the concept so it is easy to understand. I enjoy being able to help students get to a clear level of understanding when trying to figure out complex or confusing topics. In my career, I have worked as a facilitator and instructor and take a lot of meaning out of being able to communicate and help guide people through processes they might find intimidating or confusing. I especially enjoy tutoring because of the 1-1 relationships. In college, I took undergraduate and graduate level mathematics, physics, and engineering coursework. My SAT Scores where 760 Math, 800 Writing, 720 Reading Comprehension. My subject areas are in SATs, high school level writing, english, math (algebra and calculus), and geometry. I can also teach middle school and elementary students upon request.

In my spare time, I love running, hiking, cooking, and watercoloring. Professionally, I am a designer and facilitator in the creative industry and used to work as a designer in the tech industry. Having worked with those who are LGBTQ or have ADHD and Asperger's, I have a high emphasis on emotional intelligence in my tutoring style.
