Experience
I am a private tutor with over 580 total hours of tutoring almost 50 students in first-year organic and general chemistry, and high school AP and IB chemistry. I have pre-taught the AP HL Chemistry textbook and first-year general chemistry to ensure that students are prepared before classes start. I have two years of teaching assistant (TA) experience for a first-year physical chemistry lab at the University of Toronto, 6 years of mentorship and tutoring experience for high school and first-year students. I obtained the 99.9th percentile on MCAT Physical Sciences, and the 99th percentile on the OAT General Chemistry section. I was a Program Coordinator for a non-profit charity for science education, and I am a firm believer in understanding the material, rather than regurgitation. I am patient, explain concepts clearly, and have a thorough understanding of the material. I prefer to work with my students weekly to build upon concepts and answer questions as they come up.
