Morgan P.
Private tutor in Berkeley, CA
Education
I am currently a fourth year PhD Student in Physics at UC Berkeley. I completed my undergraduate degree, a BA in Astrophysics, in 2015 at Princeton University.
Experience
I have six years of tutoring experience from the middle school to college level in math, physics, and astronomy. I also have four years of teaching experience as a Graduate Student Instructor in Physics and Astronomy at UC Berkeley. My students have gone on to compete in Science Olympiad, learn college-level material in high school, and switch their majors to physics. My tutoring style focuses on Socratic-style questions and answers, step-by-step problem solving, and placing concepts within broader mathematical and physical context. I also like to introduce my students to related, interesting concepts that they may not have the opportunity to learn in their classes to broaden their understanding and heighten their interest and ultimately find enjoyment in the subject.
