Experience
As a cognitive science major, I have been able to take a variety of classes at Cal in fields such as biological science, chemistry, computational methods, history, psychology, and even art. I am working to become a pediatrician, and am particularly interested in cognition with relation to child neurology and development. I currently research in the Gopnik Child Development Lab at Cal in the Institute of Human Development. I greatly enjoy working with children, and have tutored elementary through middle school students in a number of subjects. In tutoring sessions, I hope to clearly answer questions, as well as provide strategies for problem solving, not only for students who are catching up with material, but for those looking to stay on top, or ahead of school work. I am also available to answer questions about future academic planning.
