Experience
2230/2400 on the SAT, 136/140 on the GRE. As a member of the UC Berkeley College of Chemistry graduate program, I worked closely with undergraduate students in general chemistry and organic chemistry. This involved both classroom instruction and individual mentoring, and caused me to realize my passion for education. I also tutored students chemistry and calculus as an undergraduate. Throughout my career, my teachers and mentors have motivated and supported me in a wide variety of academic pursuits. I take pride in now returning this service, helping students to understand science/math while encouraging lasting interest and passion for the fields. I believe that science should be experienced, and not just read about in books, and that tying everyday, real world examples in to teaching can help encourage interest.
