Carmen T.
Private tutor in Berkeley, CA
Education
I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2012 from the College of Environmental Design. I studied architecture, urban and rural development, and the history of built environments. In 2011, I participated in the International Honors Program, traveling to Brazil, South Africa, and Vietnam to study contemporary urban issues. Currently, I work as an environmental journalist and a freelance writer.
Experience
I love diving into architectural history, urban studies, essay editing, critical reading, English, and anything within these subjects! I am also available for beginning architectural drafting classes. I worked as a writing tutor and mentor for Junior High students while in school and love helping students through the writing process. I also taught a Public Health course on ethics to UC Berkeley students for two years and am very dedicated and attentive to different learning needs and methods.

Hobbies
I'm never without a book tucked in my bag and a notebook to sketch out an idea or doodle. I love to explore, whether that is across the US by bicycle, across the bay by boat, or across the city by foot!
