Education

I have a B.S. in Applied Physics from Michigan Technological University, with a Minor in Nanoscale Science and Engineering. I have an M.S. in Applied Physics from the University of Michigan, where I did research in biophysics, and taught general chemistry.

Experience

I have been tutoring math, physics and general chemistry for the past 3 years. Over this time, I have developed several different ways to approach and discuss these topics, adapting to students' varied learning styles. I deeply enjoy working one on one with students, and feel like the experience is enriching both for myself and for my clients. I think that being able to discuss and explain material is a fundamental par of achieving a deeper understanding of it, and challenge students to not just be able to work through problems, but also to analyze them, discuss them, and build on the concepts used.
