I am located in Berkeley, CA. I've attended Brown University and University of Virginia. At the moment, I am working towards my advanced degree (English Literature). I am also in the process of writing my master's thesis, which will be received from UVa.My tutoring background blossomed during college. While attending the University of Virginia, I provided tutoring to individuals who needed help with their studies, specifically students who required assistance with writing and composition. I also had the opportunity to work at a nonprofit education organization. This is where I gave assistance to young children in multiple academic backgrounds. While in college and in Hanoi, Vietnam, I provided assistance to school-aged children up to young adults. I have also worked in New York.My tutoring method is to provide help that works for an individual. After observing the student's learning style and personal interests, I can then gather the results to build a tailored method specific to their needs. I use the areas that stimulate my students in order to create a curriculum that is a pleasurable learning experience. When I am not tutoring, I like to watch movies and read books. I also like to swim and travel.
